According to Wikipedia, "disenfranchised grief" is a term describing grief that is not acknowledged by society. In this course we will explore numerous forms of disenfranchised grief from the perspectives of persons with real life experience, a mental health professional and our death care professional point of view. For your convenience there are two sessions: morning and evening. 

This course is approved for 1.5 Continuing Education credits through the Academy for Professionals Funeral Service Practice (APFSP) in the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
