Who is People's Memorial Association, and what benefit do they provide?
People’s Memorial Association (PMA) is the trusted resource and thought-leader for funeral choice, education, and advocacy in Washington State. We envision a future where everyone has access to after-death arrangements that reflect their personal values and resources. People's Memorial Association is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization under the name "PMA Education Fund". All gifts are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law EIN: 68-0621888.
PMA has been advocating for affordable, accessible end-of-life care since its inception in 1939. PMA was at the negotiating table every time deathcare law was written both in Washington state and at the federal level, including the 1984 passing of the Funeral Rule, the one piece of federal legislation enshrining many key end-of-life rights for all residents including access individual services such as a direct cremation and the right provide your own urn or casket at end-of-life services.
PMA is honored to provide WFSE members with a discounted PMA Membership. A PMA Membership is a single-payment, lifetime membership to help you plan your end-of-life wishes and receive a discount at our network on ethical, contracted funeral homes. New members will receive a packet of planning information where you can write down your wishes. Our website can help educate you to your funeral options. And you can check our contracted providers page to see who in your area you are eligible to receive a discount at for all services or merchandise purchased there.
