Donate Burial Plots
Please consider donating your burial plot to People's Memorial. We will do our best to connect it with someone who otherwise may not be able to afford burial. You will receive a letter of acknowledgment stating you donated a burial plot. If you wish to have the value appraised for determining the value for your taxes, please either contact the cemetery or GraveSolutions.com who will do so for a small fee ($75) and even sign form 8283 in the Appraiser's section.
To inquire about donating a burial plot, contact the People's Memorial Association office at 206-325-0489 or director@peoplesmemorial.org.
The proceeds of burial plot sales by PMA go directly into our Funeral Financial Assistance Fund, a program which helps financially struggling individuals cover funeral costs. You can also directly support the Funeral Financial Fund here.
Burial plot owners may try and sell their plots on the open market, but PMA has heard that is very difficult, likely due to the cremation rate in Washington state being 80%. Many have approached PMA after listing their burial plot publicly for years.
People's Memorial Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Any gift to PMA is fully tax-deductible as allowed by law. EIN 68-0621888
