  • Board Member

This year we are looking for an Alternate Board Member, which is a one-year commitment and a great way to see if serving on the board is a good fit for you before committing to a longer term. ⠀

Not sure if serving on the Board of Directors is right for you? We want these representatives to accurately reflect the incredible diversity of the over 71,000 members PMA currently supports. You don't have to have served on a board in the past or be a wealthy person. Your perspective and your personal expertise are what we need. Are you a deathcare professional? Or are you from eastern Washington? Are you black, indigenous, or a person of color? What about being neurodivergent or having experienced housing insecurity? We would love to talk with you about how you can make your voice heard, helping to amplify the unique deathcare concerns of your communities by joining our Board of Directors.

As part of our ongoing work to be a vocally anti-racist organization, we truly want to encourage all people to consider becoming a part of PMA’s Board of Directors as it grows. We know that deathcare is a space in which racism and bigotry of all kinds are still present. PMA is committed to ensuring all Washingtonians have equal access to compassionate and dignified care at the end of life. We are committed to change, so diverse voices and opinions will be respected, acknowledged, and celebrated.⠀
