People's Memorial Association's
The After Party
Saturday October 4, 2025 6p - 9p!

Twas the month of all Hallows and nothing to do
when all of a sudden your invite came through
What’s this, a party to learn about urns
Caskets and funerals and places that burns
Your body to ashes and composting too
And Aquamation, to name just a few
Why isn’t that something, it sounds like a hoot
A party with favors and raffles to boot
Why not, I thought, it might be fun
When all else is said and done
To know where my bones will be
On my child’s mantel or out to sea
They say people are dying to get into the AFTER PARTY
Join us at Mini Mart City Park at 6525 Ellis Ave S in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle for a celebration of People's Memorial Association, The Co-op Funeral Home, and our colleagues in the progressive deathcare movement. Learn about the death-positive innovations our industry has seen thanks to the board, staff, volunteers, partners, and members of People's Memorial. This important fundraising event supports PMA's mission of funeral education and advocacy in Washington State.
Our overall fundraising goal for this autumn is $15,000! Will you help us reach it?
This special evening will feature our partners Recompose, Resting Waters, End of Life WA, and more; music by Headstone Brigade; tarot readings by Lil of Wild Heart Healing; a cash bar featuring special "boos-y" and non-alcohol concoctions by Grain & Garnish; and hand-built games of chance by our very own Kendall Hanson-Sexton and Laurel Sexton! Tasty mediterranean offerings from Zaytoona will be on site as well. Get your photo op on next to the Gift Casket, chock full of goodies awaiting a silent auction winner along with other enticing raffle prizes. Find more information about People's Memorial at our info booth -- register for membership and snag some merch.
