Seattle: Queer Deathcare Presentation (Public)

People's Memorial Association has been empowering informed deathcare consent since 1939. As part of our mission we're proud to host, in partnership with Seattle Public Library's Next Chapter, this Queer Deathcare presentation. Attendees are welcome to join in person at the Capitol Hill Seattle Library or via Zoom. Registration is only required for those attending virtually.

During this hour+ long presentation, learn your legal rights and options for quality and safe deathcare and end-of-life support. Topics covered will be paperwork you can complete now to ensure your wishes are in writing, what those legal options are, and how to interface with funeral professionals. We'll be discussing considerations for end-of-life, such as medical and financial powers of attorney, basic estate planning, and after-death arrangements. There will be time for Q&A afterwards.

On-site will also be a notary public, for those who wish to complete and legalize paperwork on the spot.

If attending by Zoom, please register from the link below. You will be sent the Zoom link prior to the presentation.
