Rachel LeBlanc, Communications Director

Rachel has made it clear from day one, when she decided to change careers in 2019, that her mission was to become a voice for the progressive side of deathcare. Stepping into funeral directing at The Co-op Funeral Home of People's Memorial during the height of the covid pandemic, her deep compassion for client families and her commitment to care never wavered. Fun fact: she served Washington state's very first alkaline hydrolysis client in 2021! Rachel’s six years of firsthand funeral home experience gives her rare insight into the nuance of this field.
Fortunately as our Communications Director, she's able to blend that experience with her background in all things marketing, promotion, event management, and public speaking, which she obtained over a decade in e-commerce fundraising and music. You can find Rachel out sharing the news about PMA and everyone's funeral rights at community resource fairs and our many educational engagements, when she's not at her desk feverishly writing emails or updating social media.
Rachel maintains a presence in the local Seattle music scene and catches movies with her love Marc. A local to Western Washington, she still gasps at the beauty of our local surroundings and escapes to nature every chance she can.
