Volunteers are integral to our organization. Below you will find a list of opportunities that are typically available. If you find one of interest, please complete the application form below.

Current needs as of December 2018: Board Members and Contract Committee Members

  • Board Members

People that have a passion for our cause typically make good board members. Bring your own knowledge and expertise about the organization’s purpose and network and help us serve the funeral consumers of Washington State!

  • Contracts Committee

Every two years the contracts PMA has with funeral homes are negotiated and that time is upon us. The Contracts Committee needs volunteers to help evaluate the contracted funeral homes and set the prices for cremation and burial plans. This committee will start meeting early 2019.

  • Office Help

Assist with assembling mailings (stuffing envelopes, applying labels, etc), conduct research via internet and phone, etc.

  • Citizen Advocacy

Meet with, call, or write letters to relevant Washington State legislators and U.S. Congressional delegates on issues of funeral price transparency, consumer choice, and protection from predatory sales practices.

  • Marketing/PR Expertise

Help develop and execute marketing and PR activities, including seeking feature opportunities in local media.

  • Graphic Design

    Update our materials and websites

  • Estate or Financial Planning Expertise

Share your professional expertise with attendees to our Ducks in a Row workshops as a guest speaker. (Must be an estate attorney or financial planner.)
